Heidi O. Hart, communications strategist, writer, journalist, principal

Heidi Olinger Hart likes to begin her work with clients at a logical step: planning. She enjoys leading clients through the process of uncovering their business identity, vision of success, and plan of action for reaching their goals.

For more than 21 years she has written for publicly traded companies, nonprofit organizations, private corporations and the Federal Government. This latter duty included writing communications for the highest-ranking U.S. Army general in Europe and traveling the world by cargo plane.

Heidi has won awards from organizations including the Boettcher Foundation and the International Association of Business Communicators. From 1993 to 1996, she taught writing at the University of Colorado at Boulder, knowing if she could figure out how to compel students to genuinely learn to write, she herself would be a better writer. Her work as a journalist includes in-depth articles on entrepreneurship, fast-growth companies and women in business. She also has been a public speaker on issues of cultural inclusiveness and identity.

Heidi has served on boards of directors for several organizations, including Boulder Good Samaritan and the Longmont Public Library, Longmont, Colorado. She is proud to hold a Journalism B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an M.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Since 2000 she has led her own business venture, an entity that is 99 percent woman-owned and -operated.

She is at work on her first two books of nonfiction, Everyone Needs Cowgirls and Divorcing the Divorce Lawyer.
